HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Sorry i havent been keeping this updated as much as i would like to, but its that time of year where we are all busy, busy, busy, at the moment im mainly just updating film reviews but after christmas i will get back to updating all aspects of my blog and hopefully get it exactly how i want it!.

I hope you all have an amazing christmas, (and if i dont get chance to update before the new year), i hope you all have a wonderful new year.

Im sorry this is just a short update but i know you are all most likely too busy to be reading this anyway at the moment,

THANK YOU to all the new visitors and all the returning visitors to my blog, without you all i would not have been able to reach a tremendous milestone of the 100,000 pageviews which i hope will be reached by the end of today......

All enjoy! see you soon

Much love

Phil.

JACK FROST'S FROZEN CHRISTMAS

On sunday i went to see the fabulous jack frost's frozen christmas with Katie and Ellie, Starring Marcus Collins who was runner-up on the x factor, (not sure what year).

Anyway the cast were absolutely amazing and really funny, and this is how the story went.

Santa and his elves are busily preparing for Christmas , but there's trouble in the works, and it comes in the shape of icy arch villain Jack Frost!.
Once very good friends with Santa, Jack Frost was outcast when he stole a toy from a child at Christmas....and now he is plotting his revenge.

Jack Frost dislikes Christmas, Children,Parents and Grandparents!
he plans to speed up global warming, melt the north pole and cancel Christmas for all eternity.
He is aided and abetted by his two silly sidekicks- Robin Banks and Dee Linquent - who are supposed to be helping him put his evil plan into action, but somehow they always manage to get things wrong!.

LATEST UPDATES

Good morning to you from the uk,
I just want to let you all know that i have been updating some of the pages from my blog including poems and film reviews,

Anyone who has a blog will know how hard it is to try and update every day, because there is only so much chatter you can use in a blog, the hardest part about writing a blog is the fact that its hard to work out what to write about.

How these professional bloggers and vloggers do it on a full time basis i just dont know because i really struggle to find a topic to write about, however saying that i am not going to give up with this blog, perseverance is the key (i think)?

10000 HITS

In just a few days i have hit a new target: 10000 pageviews, to most people, they are probably thinking 10000 hits so what! but to me 10000 hits was a milestone and in 3 days was just a dream,...

ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF.........ME

Well just looking back on my blog yesterday, with what i said about getting more visitors something is working as my visitor count for yesterday was 139, normally its around 20-30 so i must be doing something right, will be a lot happier though if i get it in the 1000s everyday..

Today has been rather a non eventful day looking after ellie this morning while kate at work and then i went to work this afternoon, which was rather boring as work was really quiet and had to sit there watching a trainee and train them......

Over the next few weeks im looking at taking various subjects and incorporating them into this blog as like yesterday i vaguely covered internet visitors, so if there is anything that you would like me to cover, be it dog training?, car review?, or anything let me know and i will do my best to run it through here, i have got a few things in mind so keep watching.

I know i have put this on the film reviews but last night i watched Cougar Hunting which is a really really funny film, kate must have thought i was losing the plot cause every few minute i was chuckling to myself and laughing.

I have a day off work tomorrow and hoping to get the rest of the decs up and might even post a couple of pics on here of the fibre optic tree and the decs :), they are nothing special but we all love decorations etc and it is almost that time of year.......22 sleeps till santa comes, and yes i do believe in santa. he is as real as the tooth fairy lol.

OK im now gonna go and snuggle up in a nice warm bed and watch a film as its blinking cold and getting colder, if anyone is out driving where there is snow or ice please be careful.

Have a good morning? afternoon? or night wherever you are.

GETTING NOTICED ON THE NET

Ok so for the last day or so i have been busy trying to advertise my blog and find ways that will help get visitors to my blog etc.

If anyone has a website or blog and is looking for ways to get noticed/more visitors then im hoping that today's blog may help you.

Firstly there are the obvious ways like sharing to Facebook and Twitter and other social network sites.

Secondly is to submit your blog/site to all the search engines which is pretty easy but can be a bit tedious below are links to just some of the sites i use to submit to search engines.

http://www.freewebsubmission.com/

http://www.entireweb.com/free_submission/

http://www.submitexpress.com/free-submission.html

http://www.scrubtheweb.com/abs/submit/

http://www.evrsoft.com/fastsubmit/

These are just a few of the best that i use, all you do is enter your website or blog address and email address ( preferably don't use your main email as you may be clogged with submission site emails asking you to verify your email address) and then the site does the rest.

Another way i have found to get your visitor numbers up is to use traffic exchange sites which basically means you sign up for say www.blogclicker.com and then add your site/blog, and then everytime you click on another site you receive credits for which you can assign to your site/blog,
for every credit you receive and assign you can then receive one visit to your own site/blog.....
This is a way of getting visitors and the more sites you view the more visitors you can get BUT this way is very time consuming.

I hope this helps anyone that reads this and look forward to writing other useful articles in the very near future.

Thanks
phil.

30/11/14

Such a quiet Sunday and also a very nice day for the end of November.

Went back to work yesterday after a few days off, it wasn't as busy as i thought it would be but i suppose after black Friday a lot of people have probably run out of money, still got Cyber Monday tomorrow though which is basically an online version of black Friday (wonder how many websites are gonna crash/implement a queuing system?).

For anyone that doesn't know, Cyber Monday is a marketing term for the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. The term "Cyber Monday" was created by marketing companies to persuade people to shop online. The term made its debut on November 28, 2005, in a Shop.org press release entitled "'Cyber Monday Quickly Becoming One of the Biggest Online Shopping Days of the Year".[1].

So whats everyone doing today? i have done the housework and just chilling listening to 80's and 90's music on Youtube while writing this blog and catching up on a couple of survey's i had to do, not really an exciting life lol but enjoyable and i have my lovely fantastic wife and kids so what more could a man want!.

The only other things we have to do today is put up the xmas decs (oh yes Tree already up) and cook a lovely roast later :) AND JUST RELAX.

London kid by Jean Michel Jarre has just come on :) amazing song by an amazing musician.

Anyway enough of me boring you for today.

ENJOY!!!!!!

Phil.

28/11/14

Well i go back to work tomorrow after a few days off, done most of what we wanted to do :).

I have been looking online at video's of people shopping in stores for the black friday event and so glad im not out shopping or at work, its just mad as to what lengths people will go to for a bargain,
i dont think any amount of aggro is worth that just for a few pounds off of an end of line item that suppliers and stores can no longer sell.
I know not all items are end of line but the majority of them are with a few top range lines thrown in for good measure, still anything that helps stores stay in business is worth doing to safeguard jobs etc.

On another note, i've been updating the movie reviews and added a few new ones since the other day if you would like to take a look, bearing in mind they are my own opinions.
Im thinking of maybe having 2 pages of film reviews, 1 for the best rated films and 1 for the rubbish films but not sure if this would work, im actually thinking of putting a small survey on here asking for opinions if anyone would be interested in filling it in?.

If i havent updated my life over the weekend i hope you all have a great weekend no matter what you are doing and will update again soon.

THANK YOU
Phil.

REMINISCING Part 2

Hello all again

Following on from yesterdays blog my secondary school years were not that great i was at the age (like most kids) that did not want to learn much as i thought i already knew everything, however if i knew then what i know now i would have bloody tried so much harder at school.

I was still quite an ill kid as a young teenager and missed a lot of lessons due to chest infections and generally being unwell, had some amazing friends at school and still keep in touch with quite a few, however as we all got older we all seemed to get married and lead our own lives, but all i can say is thank god for social networking.

I left school at 16 and walked straight into a full time job, working in a factory, think i stayed there about 2 years or so, then from there went straight into my second job which was a trainee baker, but being 18 at the time i really hated working nights so left there within about 3 or 4 months, from there i started working for a tyre company mainly just sorting out tyres occasionally going out on the vans.

For the next year i was doing my NVQ levels 1-3 in Microsoft courses which was great fun, met some really great people, and still keep in touch with one of them, then i got a job at the grand hotel in Brighton from 1996 to 1999, spent some wonderful years there with some amazing people and learnt so much, its a great place to work but at the time the hours were very long and very low pay...

Then in 1999 i started at Tesco and been there ever since...

In between,i married young, had 3 great children and divorced for various reasons, and a few years later met a wonderful woman through work and got married 4 years ago and had another child almost 3 years ago and then this year my firstborn gave me my first grandson.

Thats basically my life written on to 2 pages (well i dont think i will be able to publish a proper autobigraphy).

Anyway on another note i have started hunting for romantic poems and have now put some up on my pages at the right of my blog, there are some wonderful poems there with many more to follow.

Hope you are enjoying my blog and please remember to share via Facebook and Twitter. (i have a link on my main blog page to share)

Enjoy your day

Phil

REMINISCING

Good afternoon all,
Today is absolutely FREEZING outside, you can definitely tell that winter is upon us..

Managed to get all the windows done yesterday inside and out so am happy aboput that as they look so much better now, will be booking a window cleaner now to be doing them on a regular basis (saves me doing them again) lol.

What do you all think of the new look blog background???
i think its lighter and more colourful than the last but would love to have some feedback on what you all think of my blog, i only wish i had started a diary as a child and re-entered all the info in here so it could have been a complete autobiography.

I must admit i can remember quite a few things about my childhood, however a lot more could have been remembered if i had done a daily diary, i totally recommend that all young people do one as it can be very beneficial in later life, the biggest problem when we are children is that most of us do not look to the future or think about what we could be doing in 30 years time etc.

I do know 1 or 2 people that actually do have diaries from the age of 10 or 11 and i really admire them for that as they took time out everyday of their childhood to write this (at the time) boring piece of information which in later life has become a very important source of information and remembering.

As a baby/child i was very sick so spent most of my early years at the Royal Alexandra hospital in Brighton and when i wasn't an in-patient i had many out-patient appointments and i remember this fantastic rocking horse in the out-patients department that i used to love so much they were hard times for my parents due to me being so unwell and having major operations in first couple of years of my life but for me personally the memories were great, the strange thing is i can still remember the nurses and surgeons that kept me alive, i can still smell the wonderful bacon and eggs that i used to have for breakfast in hospital in the late 70's i even remember there was another child who i think was in hospital almost as much as me but i cannot remember the name or anything, on another note though i remember my nurse leaving me alone for a little while and i climbed out the window on the 2nd or 3rd floor and gave everyone a panic attack and the time my nurse bought a calender or something that she had been struggling to find and had searched many shops and many weeks trying to find it, she left it on her desk and i got hold of it and ripped it up (lol) she was pretty devastated, but i was only about 3 and a bit of a terror :).

Most important memories of all though is my late father used to take me down to the local park where we used to have loads of fun and we used to pop into the greengrocers on the way to buy some plums, these are great memories to hold onto, i think i was about 8 or 9 at the time?

I can still remember my first computer which was an Atari 2600, ok im showing my age now but how many of you readers have actually heard or remember this great machine???

I know this is a slim chance but if any of you were born in the 70's and were in the Royal Alexandra Hospital for most of your young lives or you know anyone that was, please let me know, also ANYONE else that was born with a lot of problems at birth, if you are reading this please get in touch it would be great to hear from you and see how it has affected your lives etc, NOT only am i doing this blog as a sort of diary but i am hoping to make new friends from around the world.

Hope you all have a fantastic day
Phil.

23/11/14

Hi and welcome to another post from my life.

I am now starting to get my blog sorted as i want it and if you look on the right hand side i have now set up links about me, and films and tv shows reviews, which i will be updating almost all the time and adding new content, the films/tv shows link will show only films and tv shows that i have watched and there will be a review with each film/tv show, i feel its better to do reviews from films/tv shows just seen rather than reviews from months ago.....

If anyone has seen any films recently and would like to write your own reviews please let me know and i will add them and also give you the credit for them.

On another note its Sunday morning and the weather is atrocious with rain and wind, the wifes gone out so may just do the housework and chill watching more films lol..

Ive now also got a few days off work so will be spending that having a winter clean/washing the windows etc, no peace for the wicked eh?.

Oh well hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope you are enjoying reading my blog?
If you do have any comments/suggestions please let me know.

Thanks
Phil.

FRIDAY 21/11/14

Well hey ho its Friday again, seems to come around so quick, and only 5 more weekends until Christmas.

I have found a site that has some great money saving vouchers and also they do a blog with like flash sales and toys and stuff at rock bottom prices, the site is called playpennies and it really is worth taking a look especially as Christmas is coming round so fast.

Dont forget everybody that next Friday  28/11/14 is black Friday where certain shops and online companies for 24 hours only do massive savings on certain items im not sure of the full list this year but i do know that AMAZON, ARGOS, VERY.CO.UK, JOHN LEWIS AND CURRY'S are all getting involved this year,

Ive just started reading APACHE by ED MACY, it seems to be a really good book so far and is very in depth, the book is about ED MACY himself and his time in Afghanistan flying APACHE helicopters etc will do a more in depth review once i have finished the book.

Im still looking to find the best way of making extra cash online or even doing some genuine homework...if anyone knows of a company that does not charge you and brings work to your door and collects please let me know as i am extremely interested in doing this type of work.....
i dont mind if its putting pens together or envelopes or leaflet sorting that sort of thing..

I hope everyone has a great Friday and thank you to everyone tha looks at my blog, please share

Phil x

been a while

Well its been quite a while since I last blogged, partly because we were busy with holiday/moving...partly cos I forgot about the blog lol and partly cos I haven't had much to talk about.
So whats happened these last 5 months or so????

Well we have now moved to a ground floor 3bed flat and have been busy sorting out getting it how we want etc, my health has improved quite a bit but still getting chest infections/asthma..had a full lung function test done a while back and consultants have decided I have not got copd so its just the asthma that's causing most of the problems.

Can't believe its only 5 weeks till xmas, we are completely done, all wrapped and looking forward to it immensely, ellie says she is gonna have the best Xmas ever :).

On another note I have been catching up with various TV shows recently and was completely surprised as to how good 24 is with kiefer sutherland, I'm almost finished the 2nd season and I'm on the edge of my seat every episode, the storylines are so real and possible and the twists in the storyline are constant, if any of you have never seen this show then seriously its a must watch.

I'm looking at restarting this blog properly again with various themes such as film and TV show reviews and best ways to make/save money, best buys etc...

Please watch this space.

What a relief

Hi, well i saw the chest specialist the other day and it seems that the operation i had in 2011 to sort out my reflux/hernia has been leaking into my lungs which is basically causing all my breathing problems and chest/kidney infections etc so they have now put me on some more tablets and have to have a few more tests done etc but im just so relieved that its not serious like i kept thinking :) relieved.com is an understatement...

On another note ive found a great site for getting cashback AND saving money take a look at the link below you have absolutely nothing to lose :)

TOPCASHBACK

Anyway hope you all have a great weekend and speak soon :)

USUAL DAY

Well its been about 2 weeks since i last updated my blog, basically the petition i set up hasnt gone very well as hardly anyone seems to wanna know or sign even though hundreds have told me how sickening it is etc..
Only one thing to say there....STOP WHINGING and do something about it.
Sorry for the angry shout but too many people are moaning about things but cant be assed to do anything about it, admittedly ive been guilty of that before as have probably most of you,

On another note i finally get to see the consultant next week regarding my chest and am now waiting for 2 more appointments to see a consultant about my stomach/lower abdomen and also now a back consultant as my gp thinks a lot of the pain may actually be coming from my back and not my stomach/bladder/kidney area as previously thought.
Apparently stomach/back pains can be linked because the are close together or something? not quite sure but all i do know is sometimes if you have a stomach ache it could cause pain in your back and vice versa.....

Still got to see kidney specialist in september as well  so got quite a busy time with hospital at the moment :(, just wish they would get to the bottom of the problem so i can get on with it and be able to deal with it mentally instead of just worrying what it could be....

Im still doing my I T course but have slowed down at the moment due to the pain etc, just cant seem to concentrate much to be honest and the drs have now increased my medication so pain relief wise im now taking :
2 paracetomol every 4 hours.
1 naproxen 3 times a day
2 15mg codeine every 4 hours
AND oralmorph when i really need it, so all in all i feel drugged up a lot of the time lol.

Anyway have a great weekend and hope the weather is great for you all.

Phil

My HeAlTh UpDaTe

what a gorgeous sunny morning,

Well the latest update on my health is i see the chest specialist on 25th june then on 9 july i now have to see a hernia specialist as they now think i may have 2 hernia's on my right side which if they are right is the reason i get so much pain, and then in september ive got to go back and see the kidney specialist, i actually managed a nice long walk around town yesterday with kate, 2 of my daughters and my baby grandson.

This walk completely knackered me out as when i got home, i crashed out for almost 3 hours but it was so nice to actually leave the car at home and use our feet for a change.

Congratulations to my daughter Sian who yesterday got the keys to her new flat, and moved in same day, really proud of you ....xxx

On another note the petition still isnt going to well at the mo but i am hopeful and i must remember its only in its first week so you never know what may happen with it....

Anyway hope you all have a great day whatever you may be doing (ive got work later)

Thanks

A LITTLE DISSAPOINTED

http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/65671

Well its been a few days since i started this petition and i am a little dissapointed as it hasnt gone too well so far, i have over 600 friends on facebook and approx only 30 have signed, yet they have no problem sharing a load of rubbish etc.

I really thought this would be a big thing due to the fact its a real issue that is very real in upsetting people and involves children being hurt,

Maybe the human race isnt really as compassionate as i thought???
Maybe our sense of helping others has just gone from our lives????
Sadly people just dont seem to be as kind/considerate/helpful as they were 30 years ago.

I hate ranting at people but most of my friends have kids, and i bet if it was one of theirs in the video then they would go all out to sort it.

I am mainly doing this because the video's sickened me, watching a child being hit by her mum and pushed away screaming just because she wants a cuddle,.... pinched, punched, slapped round face and head, all because she wants a cuddle....hit with various objects, made to feel worthless and unwanted, all because she wanted a cuddle.......................

I know this particular mother was caught and put in prison 2 years ago and the baby girl is now doing extremely well with foster parents but there are many more of these video's floating around social media sites and there is only one way to stop them, and that is to MAKE IT LAW.

A lot of these video's are done because the parents know they are being filmed and think its fun or whatever so take away part of the excitement and it helps stops the child abuse itself.

The CEOP is an online police unit in the uk that deal with all online issues serious and non-serious, instead of having these sickening video's all over social media sites it would be much better to be "promoting them on an applicable site like CEOP where the culprits can be identified and brought to justice properly in a decent way without millions of people having to "endure" them on social media and at least this way YOUR KIDS will not have to see them.

SORRY FOR THE RANT, PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE
THANK YOU.

UP AND RUNNING

Well finished work and got home to find that my petition has got slowly off the ground.

On another note i really need to get cracking on my coursework for my IT TECHNICIAN course, especially if i wanna pass it lol...

Wednesday, 28 May 2014

Hi, welcome to my blog,

This is the second blog ive ever set-up, the first one i lost due to the company i used dissapearing.

Well i will basically carry on from where i left off on my old blog, which was that my health hasnt been too great and i was recently shocked and upset by a video i saw on a social media site of a 10 month old baby girl being beaten by her mother, which turned out was 2 years old and the mother has been incarcerated and the baby in care.

However the social media site involved refused to remove the video saying no violations/laws had been broken, so after contacting NSPCC and other agencies i realised the only option i had was to e-petition the government to change the law on images/videos concerning social media sites and making it illegal for them to allow all types of child abuse on their sites, i am currently waiting to get the go-ahead for the e-petition and then the ball will start rolling and i will be linking the petition everywhere i possibly can to get the 100000 signatures i need.

Not much else to say at the moment but i will be regularly updating my blog.
THANK YOU for reading.
Phil
